UGMF - System Cheat Sheet

⭐ System Rules Cheat Sheet — A Universal Mechanics Integration Tool for the UGMF
The System Rules Cheat Sheet is a lightweight but powerful companion document designed to bridge the gap between the Universal GM Framework (UGMF) and any tabletop RPG system you choose to run alongside it.
The UGMF gives GMs an elegant, system-agnostic structure for storycraft, pacing, NPC behavior, relationships, factions, and campaign design — but it intentionally avoids prescribing game mechanics. This Cheat Sheet provides the missing piece: a clear, universal checklist that tells the GM (or an AI helper like ChatGPT) exactly what mechanical information must be extracted from a ruleset before play begins.
Whether you’re running MMRPG, D&D 5E, Cyberpunk, Pathfinder, SLA Industries, or any other game system, this Cheat Sheet ensures your mechanical rules stay RAW-accurate, consistent, and fully compatible with the UGMF.
⭐ What This Cheat Sheet Does
This document outlines the 10 essential categories of rules that must be identified and obeyed when integrating any RPG mechanics with the UGMF’s narrative engine:
✔️ Rank/Level and Power Scaling
✔️ Ability and Attribute Generation Rules
✔️ Health, Defenses, and Derived Stat Formulas
✔️ Skills, Focuses, Traits, Tags, and Powers (RAW only)
✔️ Gear and Equipment Limitations
✔️ Canon Character Restrictions
✔️ NPC Category and Rank Boundaries
✔️ Action Economy and Combat Structure
✔️ Conditions, Modifiers, Advantage/Trouble Rules
✔️ Validation and RAW Compliance Procedures
By extracting these core mechanical elements from your chosen RPG system, you enable the UGMF to operate seamlessly within any game universe — without drift, misinterpretation, or homebrew creep.
⭐ Why You Need This
The UGMF is a narrative powerhouse, but it relies on an external ruleset to define how mechanics actually work.
This Cheat Sheet serves as the “Rules Interpretation Module,” ensuring the GM or AI:
-
understands the system’s mechanical boundaries
-
respects RAW power limits
-
builds legal NPCs, monsters, and antagonists
-
keeps Rank/Level scaling accurate
-
applies correct formulas for Health, AC, Focus, etc.
-
uses only system-approved traits, powers, and equipment
-
maintains perfect rules fidelity throughout play
In short: the Cheat Sheet guarantees the UGMF + Your Chosen System operate as a unified, error-free whole.
